Eagles Take Down Jaguars 54-11
Story by Jesse Mann, SCCLC

A hard fought match began when the high school boy basketball teams from the SCCLC and Cooperative faced each other on the court today. The Eagles scored immediately off the jump ball, and quickly went on to score seven more baskets. It took six minutes before the Jaguars managed to break the Eagle's sixteen point scoring streak, with their first shot attempt earlier getting wedged between the rim and the backboard. This scoring pattern repeated itself several times throughout the remainder of the game.

The Eagle pace slowed down slightly when their lineup was changed at the start of the second quarter, but they nonetheless finished the first half with a comfortable lead over the Jaguars, 20 – 4. Nothing extraordinary occurred in the second half, with the Eagles steadily widening their lead to a final score of 54 – 11. Both teams played an exhausting game, with many of the points being scored on both sides off hard drives to the basket.

Knights Defeat Griffins 19-14
Story by Sung Eun Song, SCIS

The Cambridge Knights varsity boys basketball team led all the way in its 19-14 win over the International Griffins Thursday afternoon in the International gym. Due to their offensive pressure and tenacious defense, the Knights jumped out to a quick 11-3 lead in the first quarter. In the second quarter the Griffins decided to make a stand, and by trying steady shooting and controlling the rebounds, they held the Knights to just three points while they scored nine, making the game look more competitive. The second half ended by 14-12 still in favor of Knights.

The two teams dueled evenly in the third quarter, with each scoring two points to make the score 16-14. In the fourth quarter the Knights stepped up their defensive effort, holding the Griffins scoreless for the rest of the game. The Knights managed three more baskets, and the final score stood at 19-14.

For Cambridge. A. Hurtado tallied eight points, G. Roca had seven, and Marcio Baio scored four points. For International, Felipe Molina contributed five points and S. Velasco scored three.
