Lady Knights overcome Eagles 2-0
The Cambridge girls varsity volleyball team won a straight sets victory over Christian learning Thursday afternoon in a game played in the International gym.
The Knights dominated play in the opening set, basically scoring two points for every point the Eagles could win, and won 25-14.
Cambridge appeared to be heading for an easy romp in the second set as they jumped out to a quick eight-point lead and seemed to have the game well under control at 20-11.
However, the Eagles seemed to steady at that point and pulled the score almost even at 22-20. Then the Knights who had continued to play well during the Eagle counterattack, put on a surge to take the set, and the match, 25-21.
