Jaguars come back, then go down
Griffin JV wins topsy-turvy match

You know it was a great game when even the losing coach will say it was a great game.
The International boys volleyball team defeated Cooperative Tuesday in their home gym in a hard-fought three set match.

Afterwards, Cooperative coach Hugo Zaconeta said with a rueful smile. "It was a very pretty match. Well played."
International whipped through the Jaguars in the opening set, winning 25-13, but then it was the Jaguars turn in the second set, which they won 25-20.
The third set was hard-fought all the way, but International finally took it 15-11. The win gave them clear possession of first place, and opened the way to their winning the league championship.


Knight JV beats Eagles in straight sets

The Cambridge junior varsity boys volleyball team won its first match of the year Friday in convincing fashion, defeating Christian Learning 2-0.
The Little Knights took the first set 25-15, and then had to withstand an attempted Eagle counter-attack in the second set before prevailing 27-25.
