Griffin JV girls beat Jaguars 2-1

The International junior varsity girls soccer team beat Cooperative in a particularly well played match Tuesday afternoon on the Jaguars field.
The two teams both had lopsided wins in their opening games a week ago and were clearly primed for the confrontation Tuesday. The Griffins took the elad on a goal by Renata Maggi, and led 1-0 at the half.
Jaguar Michelle Lederman tied the game up in the second half, but the Griffins won when Pamela Suarez added their second goal of the afternoon.

The Christian Learning junior varsity soccer team ultimately cruised to a 2-0 victory on Tuesday on the International field against a Cambridge team with only eight players.
Although they had fewer players, the Knights held the Eagles scoreless for the entire first half. Emily Mercado finally scored the first goal of the game midway through the second half off of a free kick from just outside the penalty box to put the Eagles up 1-0. Eagle Samia Dajbura scored the second goal late in the game to bring the final score to 2-0.
